Jess has been practicing outpatient orthopedic physical therapy since 2013. She comes to the Pioneer Valley from Philadelphia, where she received her Doctor of Physical Therapy from Temple University. An avid ice hockey player, weightlifter, and runner, Jess comes with a wealth of athletic experience, including being an NCAA DIII ice and field hockey player at Hamilton College.
Jess utilizes a combination of education, manual therapy, and exercise to reduce pain and restore optimal movement. She has has been trained in multiple treatment approaches including Maitland, McKenzie, The Institute of Physical Art, and NeuroKinetic Therapy. She believes in the necessity of thorough, systematic evaluation and individualized care to achieve patient goals. She hopes to empower patients to become resilient and autonomous as they heal. She helps folks who are experiencing discomfort or pain, recovering from an injury, are interested in injury prevention, as well as folks who are having difficulty getting back into exercise after injury or surgery.
